Margarita Sagastizabal, 37, originally from Melbourne, FL, died early November 26th, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. She was born August 16th, 1979 in Melbourne, FL and was the youngest daughter of Luis and Angela Sagastizabal. She attended Eau Gallie High School and the University of Florida where she graduated with honors with a degree in criminology. Margarita’s life and work was always focused on helping others. She consistently displayed a sincere desire to help children and adults through their difficult times. Her most recent position as an investigator at the Department of Children and Families in both Melbourne and Gainesville, is a testament to her warm heart and supportive nature. Margarita was also an avid lover of animals, especially her "Abby", and was consistently known to be rescuing animals in their times of need.
Margarita was always a faithful and loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. The bond she shared with those whom she loved was strong. Margarita is survived by her parents Luis and Angela Sagastizabal of Melbourne, her sister Maria Kelly, brother-in-law Todd Kelly, nephew Colton Kelly and niece Sofia Kelly of Newberry, Florida. She is also survived by her dog "Abby" who she loved dearly, close family members across the United States and Spain and countless friends she has impacted so positively over the years.
Margarita will be always remembered as a loving daughter, sister, "Tia" and friend whose greatest passion was helping others. Although she leaves us all heartbroken, she also leaves us rich in happy memories.
If you wish, donations may be made in her honor to a pet rescue organization or the charity of your choice.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the family find comfort from Gods Word where it promises that death and pain will be no more and it also promises that we will see our loved ones again by means of a resurrection (Revelation 21:4, Acts 24:15). But until then, I hope the memories of Margarita and these promises bring peace and comfort in the days ahead. My condolences to the family during this difficult time.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Margarita’s passing. I have fond memories of Margarita, Maria, and Mrs. Sagastizabal from Sabal Elementary when the girls were children. I hope that memories of happy times help to lessen the grief you are experiencing. Margarita had a good heart and a sense of fairness. As an adult in her professional life, she was extremely helpful to us when our grandchild was removed from her parents. I think she left a legacy with all the children she protected from possible harm.
