Carl L. Anderson, 68, of Jamestown, N.Y. In God’s grace, Carl Anderson passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at UF/Shands Hospital Burn Center in Gainesville, Fla., succumbing to complications that followed a recent injury. Carl’s love of NASCAR started young when he was a late model driver at the Stateline Speedway in Western New York. He worked as a painter/contractor in Jamestown for over 40 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling. Carl loved World War II movies, westerns, fast motorcycles, a good steak, his friends and his country. He especially loved his dogs. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Maxine Anderson of Stockton, N.Y.; his three brothers: Ray, Don and Tom Anderson and his sister, Carolyn Anderson of Jamestown, N.Y.; and many dear friends. Carl is survived by his two sons: Gregory Anderson of Ft. White, Fla., and Jeffrey Anderson of Buffalo, N.Y.; his brother, Lou Anderson of Jamestown, N.Y.; and two grandchildren: Erik and Jonathan Anderson of Bemus Point, N.Y. Carl’s ashes will be respectfully dispersed at locations that brought him joy in life, and the remaining ashes will be laid to rest with his parents in Stockton, N.Y. We’ll miss you, Carl!

  1. My condolences to Greg and Jeff who in time I pray will remember all the good times. I’ll miss the Holidays with Carl the most he was always such a generous and kind gentleman to me. I really loved watching movies and eating those cheese balls he brought that he considered the "appetizer" to our dinners. Rest in Peace Carl.
