Elizabeth "Betty" Lee Boyd Copeland, passed peacefully from this life at the age of 83 on Saturday, September 30, 2017. She was born June 3, 1934 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 ½ years Jasper "Jack" Newton Copeland Jr., parents Bowling Briggs and Katherine Louise Boyd, her brother Bowling Briggs Boyd Jr., and sister in law Mary Katherine "Kitty" Boyd and her son in law Charles "Chuck" Ernest Little.
She was survived by her brother James William Boyd (Rosalyn), her four children, Marilyn L. Little of Gainesville, Douglas N. Copeland of Kailua-Kona HI, Diane L. Wilson (Eric) of Gravel Switch, KY, and Andrew B. Copeland (Jasmyn) of Gainesville. Her nine grandchildren, Andrew C. Little (Jamie), Katie L. Darr (Sam), Christopher K., and Alena E. Copeland, Kyle R. and Paige N. Wilson, Kellar R. Carnes, Haven C. and Briggs H. Copeland and numerous nephews and nieces all of whom she loved dearly.
Although she worked outside the home later in her life, the job she valued most was being a wife to Jack, mom and grandma. She has been a faithful, active member of the family at University City Church of Christ for over 50 years.
