Connie Irene Yancy

Connie I. Yancy, 69, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2018 in Gainesville, Florida with family by her side. She was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Robert and Doris Simmons on November 6, 1948. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1966. Connie joins her brother, Rex Simmons, and parents in heaven. She is survived by brothers, Robert Simmons (wife Pat) and Ronald Simmons (wife Gail); her daughter, Dawn Johnson (husband Chris) sons, Randy Pugh (wife Tara) and James Yancy (wife Nicole); grandchildren, Crystal Padgett (husband Matthew), Tyler Johnson, Olivia Pugh, Alex Pugh, and Nicholas Yancy; and great-grandchildren, Brooke Padgett and Adelyn Padgett.

Connie enjoyed Genealogy, Collecting butterflies, Spending time with her grandkids and family, garage sale shopping, and solitaire.
