Gary Alan Boots, age 67, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida passed away on August 16, 2018 in Jacksonville. He was born August 9, 1951 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, son of Henry and Mary Boots. Crevasse's Simple Cremation of Jacksonville is honored to be serving the Boots family.

Gary was my well loved friend and brother from our ‘70s college days in the Theta Xi fraternity at Slippery Rock State College. He was a funny guy and we had some good times. I will miss his humor. May he Rest In Peace And his absence from you be filled with sweet memories of your time together.

Gary and I were fraternity brothers at Slippery Rock University. I will always remember Gary as being full of fun, smiles and a little bit of good natured mischief. Gary was a good friend and brother who made my life richer. My deepest sympathy to the Boots family.
I am very sorry for your loss. I have known Gary since our first days at Slippery Rock and was his roommate our senior year. He was a good friend and we enjoyed many fun times together, I will miss his post on Facebook and his Steeler/Pirate fan comments.
