Ben Craig Abel, a Kansas City transplant and a new resident of Newberry, Florida, passed away January 22, 2019. Ben was 38 years old. Ben grew-up in Emporia, KS, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Emporia State University. In 2013, Ben was conferred a Masters Degree in Molecular Biotechnology from the University of Kansas. The family asks for stories, comments, and photographs that will be shared and displayed during the service. Email benabelmemorial@gmail.com to submit photos. We never did get to meet. We had a lot of conversations about life and similar experiences. The last few years you always took a moment  to check in and see how I was doing. Ben we had so much fun swapping stuff for Disney…us setting you up with Disney pins you showing us the new spell cards. So many fun chat about everything Disney and Harry Potter. Though we didn’t get to spend much time together in person just a couple hours here and there we sure used up data chatting. May your soul fly free and return with all the knowledge it learned this turn of the wheel.
You will be missed and I truly wish we had gotten more time.
