On September 12, 2019, Frederick C. Smith, a 35 year resident of Interlachen, Florida, took his final ride at the age of 69.

Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Fred was the oldest of seven born to John Smith and Mary Barbano. After achieving both a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Education, he spent many years dedicated to working in community outreach and local services.

  1. Dear Kathy, Olivia, Rion, Jen and Ariel and Alana~

Please accept our deepest sympathy in the
Loss of your loving husband and father. Fred was very very proud of his family and always spoke the best about you all. He will always be near you and forever be in your hearts. His spirit was big enough to give you the strength to carry you all as time passes. He will always be remembered as fun loving and caring.
Now he is Heavenly peace with everyone who has passed before him and is surrounded with love and light of our Creator.,
    You are in our prayers,

  3. My heart broke when I heard about Fred. He was a gentle, kind and loving person. He had such a big heart. Much love, thoughts and prayers to you all. I've been blessed to have had him in mine and my family's life. We will miss him tremendously.

  4. We had a wonderful uncle, one who never really grew old . His smile was made of sunshine and his heart was solid gold.

  5. My heartfelt condolences to the Smith family. Kathy, if there is anything i can do for you and family, please let me know, hugs and kisses.

  6. My Dear big brother, my hero!! There has never been a day where I didn't have you in my life, to protect me , to guide me. As kids we lived together, we fought , we laughed, we cried.
You are my big brother not by choice but by the nature of our birth. I could not have chosen a better one , you are the best!!!
    I love you, Fred <3

  7. Sweet Fred is resting in peace but a big loss for the entire family. I am so glad we were able to spend time with him in June. Loved by many and gone way too soon.
