Dennis Patrick Wharton, 59, born in Columbus, OH passed away unexpectedly in his Citra, FL home on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Dennis is reunited with his parents Patricia and Charles W. Wharton Sr. and his great Aunt Mary.
Dennis is survived by his only daughter Shiloh Wharton (Jeffrey Grant) and his only granddaughter Ivy Grant. Also his three older brothers Michael Wharton, Steven (Sue) Wharton, and Charles (Donna) Wharton Jr, many nieces, nephews and life long friends.
Dennis graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1979 and always looked forward to his class reunions.
He worked the past 30 years at Home Depot and made many close friendships over the years.
Dennis had a love for music, attending NASCAR races, and enjoyed any time spent with good friends and family.

I will forever miss my "Denise" (I was the only allowed to call him that)! Everyday he greeted me with a "Hey Sweetie!" and gave the best bear hugs especially when I was feeling down. My sincerest condolences for you and your family. He touched many lives and will truly be missed!

I worked with Dennis in Home depot he was a very nice man.. we talked recently about his boot..Iam so sad over this. so unexpected..I pray he rest in peace..

Dennis was one of the best people I have ever meet, hard-working to a fault almost. He always had time to spare when it was needed to listen to a person trouble they were having. His heart was as big as the moon and as bright as the sun. He left a print on my soul by being just a really good guy and having the greatest laugh ever. You will be missed by all that have known you, Dennis RIP my friend.
When I was in school and riding the bus little did I know that the bus driver was the mother of who would become one of my dearest friends. I have known and loved Denny for nearly 40 years now. His passing was such a shock and has devastated me. The Wharton's were such a big part of my life growing up. Denny taught me how to play pool, helped me learn how to drive, and so so much more. I have pictures of him on my wall that I look at every day. Even though he moved away and went to Florida we still spoke on the phone and when he would come up to visit we would always spend time together. He has always and will always have a special place in my heart. I will never forget all the fun times that we had. He will truly be missed. RIP my love

My dear brother
I first met Dennis and his brothers, Charles Steve and Mike, back in the late seventies. They were such wonderful gentleman, but unfortunately I was involved with an idiot that happened to be friends with them LOL. I have been searching for Charles Wharton for years just to check in and know that he is well he was and I'm sure it is such a kind man.
