Carolyn Sue Bowen Martin

Carolyn Sue Bowen Martin, 73, passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2020 in Gainesville, FL. She was born on January 3rd, 1947 in Charleston West Virginia to Thelma Gandee Bowen (Griffis) and Duane (Darby) Bowen.

Carolyn was an amazing, devoted, loving and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and a treasured sister. Nothing made her happier than having all of her kids, and especially all of the grandbabies together in the same place at the same time.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Gandee Bowen (Griffis) and Duane (Darby) Bowen, brother, Fred Griffis and sister, Cathy Bowen.

Surviving is her loving husband, Dennis B. Martin, son, Troy Martin (Maria) of SC, Daughters, Suzanne Martin of FL and Alisha Martin Hogge (Adam) of Fl. Grandchildren, Brayan, Cooper, Lucas, Declan and Ethan. Brother, Ronald Griffis (Ruthie) of FL. As well as many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
