Teena Joiner was born on June 25, 1943 and passed away on May 15, 2020. She spent the majority of her life in Gainesville, Florida. She worked for the State of Florida at Tacachale for 28 years. She was promoted to a Behavioral Programming Specialist and also promoted to a supervisor before her retirement. She had three children and numerous grandchildren that her world revolved around. She enjoyed cooking, Elvis Presley, Star Trek, Anything Sci Fi, crossword puzzles and reading celebrity magazines.
She is survived by her son Donald O. Joiner, Cathy Joiner, Granddaughter Tina Estes, 10 additional grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Ricky W. Joiner, husband Donald A. Joiner and great grandson Dylan A. Brown.






Mrs. Teena was a long time family friend to my mom Carolyn & grandmother June.
I have many wonderful memories of Teena back when I was growing up.
She never met a stranger, had a heart of gold and loved with every being of her body.
Teena rest easy knowing you left so many positive impressions.
Aunt Tina I will miss you more than words can say, I know your here with us all in Spirit! I’ll always cherish all the wonderful memories that we had, you will always be in my Heart ❤️. Thank you for everything you taught me and every moment you shared with me, and always cared, and told me everything is going to be okay. My strong, and beautiful Aunt Fly High 😇 until we meet again. Teena I always admired the strength and love that you shared with us when we were just little girls. I know you are looking over the Joiner Clan and with you watching over I’m sure their going to be alright. We will miss your beautiful spirit but I’m sure glad you’re finally listening to Elvis sing the blues up on that Mountain. RIP Teena 👼🏼
