William Anderson

William David (Bill) Anderson

January 25 1932 - June 12, 2020

 

Bill began his 88 year journey in Chicago Illinois as the youngest of four children. Always an exceptional athlete, he excelled in sports at South Shore High School which earned him a basketball scholarship to the University of Minnesota.

 

He and his wife, Carol (Warren) had four children, and later relocated their family to Las Vegas, Nevada. There he distinguished himself as an outstanding realtor, ultimately becoming a Broker and General Manager of one of the area's largest real estate agencies.

 

After retiring, Bill and his wife Nanci (Wahl) lived in Oregon before choosing Ocala, Florida as their forever home. They traveled the country extensively for several years in their motorhome to see the national parks and visit family and friends. When reflecting upon those trips, Bill would smile and say, those were the best adventures of their lives.

 

Bill enjoyed playing pool with his friends at the Marion Landing clubhouse and participated in the Senior Games Tournament where he was proud to have won an award.

 

Bill will always be remembered for his kind and gentle heart, friendly smile and BIG personality. He had an unwavering positive attitude, and occasionally told corny jokes. To know him truly was to love him.

 

He is survived by his sister, Ruth, his daughters, Renee, Kim and Denise, his step-children, Roxanne, Ken and Chuck, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
