Georgia Mae McClure

Georgia Mae McClure, more affectionately known to her family as Georgie, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2021, in her apartment at The Windsor of Ocala. Georgia was born March 3, 1930, in Owsley, Kentucky to John B. and Lillie Alley.
Georgia was widowed in 2011, with the passing of her beloved husband, Olin McClure. She was also predeceased by her son Randall Irick, grandson Marcus Packwood, sisters Josie McClanahan and Estie Bowens, Brothers Henry, Lee, Bert, Goble and Paul Alley.
She is survived by her son, Rickey (Suzanne) Irick, daughter Lola (Tim) Lafferty, and two step daughters, Joy Mazzurco and Julie Taylor.
She is also survived by five grandchildren: Chad, Brian and Jason Irick, Eric and Rob Packwood, three cherished sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Most important to Georgia was her faith in Jesus Christ and her love of her family. Next to family was her love of cooking. She was in her glory when she could cook a big meal for visiting family or friends. She enjoyed gardening, writing hymns, hiking, reading, and going to garage sales - she loved a bargain!
For many years she was very involved with her church, and shared her love of God through song and fellowship with others. She had an uncanny gift for making friends, and within minutes of meeting someone, she had a new friend!
Although we miss her, she will live in our hearts forever and we will always be thankful for her love!

I am glad I got to know Georgia. I went to her house once and we looked at family photos together. We had fun! She kept her Bible nearby. It looked well used! I know she loved God and reading His Word. She was very kind.
It was Very Sad to hear the News of Aunt Georgie May's Passing as it is Always Sad and Heart Breaking to hear and loose any of Our Family Love Ones and Friends, Glad She is not Suffering or any pain but is at Rest with the Lord Jesus, Praying for All of Our Family and Her Friends For Gods Peace, Comfort and Strength Through the Holy Spirit In Jesus Name. I Remember many times being in Church Services with Her and She would Always ask Me to play Piano or Guitar for Her and Sometimes even help Her Sing Some of the Songs ❤

You didn’t give me life but life gave me you. I couldn’t have been more blessed or have been more grateful. I will forever love and miss you.
My sweet Aunt Georgie I will miss your smile, jokes, your cards with the beautiful verses you always wrote inside, (I kept them all) and especially our talks about God. You have been such a blessing in my life. I have so many wonderful memories I will cherish forever in my heart. It was an honor being named after you ( Voretta Mae). We have lost our Angel here but I know she was singing His praises when God said My child welcome home. Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you all
