Ouida Camille McIlhinney

On February 27th, 2021, the world lost a beautiful soul in Ouida C. Wolfgang-McIlhinney. Born on March 10th, 1966 in Rolling Hills, PA, she enjoyed life with meticulous attention, especially to nature and critters. Ouida excelled in technology. Proficient in graphic design, building databases, and web design—just to name a few—she had a special love for teaching tech and used simple analogies to explain it. Art was her first passion at a young age. Ouida graduated with an associate degree in Fine Arts at Buck’s County Community College in Pennsylvania. She loved learning and creating—whether it was a database or an acrylic painting.
Always available to help anyone, Ouida gave much of her time to community mental health providers in the Gainesville, Florida area. People in her life admired and loved her kindness, integrity, and gentle bravery. Ouida’s memory is carried on by her brother, Tim Wolfgang and his wife, Margie, her adopted family in Florida and Louisiana, her partner of six years, Lloyd Boulet III and his family, and so many who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be missed by her multitude of pets, most recently, cats Bob & Pixel, four sugar gliders, one grumpy hedgehog, and fish. Ouida loved the flora as well. Gardening was her relaxing retreat, and she definitely had a green thumb. Science-fiction and comics were a big part of her life. Doctor Who, Supernatural, and X-men were among many favorites.

I would like to thank her friends and Lloyd for taking very good care of my sister during her last days. I know she was loved and this last six years was the best time of her life. I appreciate everyone of you and give thanks. Rest in Peace my sister. We love you.
It is with great sadness I accept the news that my dear friend has passed. Ouida and I had a coworker relationship that turned into one of where I considered her my sister. I will miss our lazy afternoons sitting on my back porch admiring my garden and counting the butterflies. I miss you sweet sister and life is altered forever.
She was the purest and kindest soul I ever encountered and was my first love. I will always cherish our time together. I hope she found happiness she so very much deserved.
Ouida acted selflessly to advocate for those who needed a voice. This was inspiring and admirable. She was funny, intelligent, passionate, brave… There was much more. She’s greatly missed!
This is part of what I wrote in a sympathy card for Lloyd: When Ouida passed, she left a hole in the lives of everyone she touched. May God's Light shine through that hole.

Thank you for calling me today. Â Ouida was always special to me and my wife, Lisa. She was brilliant in the technology she worked with, it's application, and in her appreciation and skills with unique animals and art. Â I always looked forward to meeting with her for not only help with my business, but also just sharing her past time interests and just being a very good, trusted friend I always wanted to help in anyway I could. Â It's going to take me a long time to not have her on my mind everyday.
I knew Oiuda at the Gainesville Opportunity Center in Gainesville, Fl.  I always admired how involved she was with anything technology. Whether designing or teaching a class.  She was always busy. She was kind and nice also.  She had a wonderful disposition. I’m saddened by her passing.
Ouida was amazing. Her memory will always burn bright with me and I don't think I'll ever be able to forget her. Her passion, her kindness and her light will continue to inspire me to be the best version of me I can be. I love her so much and will miss her even more.
We are all very devastated to lose Ouida. She was an example and an inspiration to us all regarding overcoming life's challenges and moving forward. Ouida helped others any way she cold. She was full of love, and just wanted the world to be a better place. She did her part. We will miss you, Ouida!!!!
Ouida was a teacher. A survivor. Her most singular purpose was to better the lives of those around her. I've heard people revise her since her passing as a person who chased jesus, a person who suffered, and a person who sought god, but what I saw was a person who sought a buddhist balance and a mentor who saw that there was enough pain in the world without additional contribution. Over the past six years, I was lucky enough to meet the variety of ways that her DID allowed her to display herself and the common threads were protective instinct and, in recognizing the derivative of those around her, to inspire the best in humanity. Ouida, I will miss our talks both profound and mundane; I only wish that you could see the impact that you've had on our community. I will miss you for the rest of my life.

I am so so sorry to hear of Ouida's passing. Her sweetness and her love of technology and knitting and cats and so much more will be missed. She helped me unravel a huge tech problem with grace – I shall always be grateful. xxx♥xxx
I was sadden to hear of Ouida's passing. Though I didn't know her long or well, she left a memory that will remain. Condolences to her family and especially Lloyd. Prayers that her memory will bring joy to your heart.
Ouida was a very special person. She was always there when I needed her help. Quida helped me maintain the Data Base, that Veterans For Peace uses for Our Memorial Mile Display on Memorial Day weekend. Ouida had a great sense of humor and was an incredible artist. I am lucky to have several pieces of her artwork hanging in my home. Ouida was taken from us way too soon. Ouida you are missed and Loved. May You rest in Peace. Love Scott Camil
I am so saddened to hear that Ouida has left us behind. I'm sure she's in a better place because wherever she was, it was a better place just because of her. I haven't seen her in 20 years or more but always remember her fondly. May her soul live on.
