  1. I didn't know my uncle very well for most of my life. We got to know each other in recent years through Facebook and he was very proud of his public accomplishments but liked his privacy. Now that he has passed, my hope is in the Lord and He will restore Harry in all the areas of brokenness that troubled him so much, just as He will for all of us."May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you. Psalm 33:22

  2. Harry was our neighbor for 20ish years and a great friend. After moving we continued to stay in touch; I was so saddened to recently discover this news. Harry lived a fantastic life; just the way he wanted to live it. He was gruff and tough which was part of his charm and underneath he had a kind, warm heart. Harry always made me laugh with his "adventures" and kept me entertained with his life stories. He valued his privacy and loved his land yet still custom built his house to account for my husband and his friend's massive parties next door – spending extra in materials and designing a layout to give maximum barrier from the noise and fireworks. Not many people would go to that extreme, which truly speaks to his character and his sense of humor with situations. Our dog loved him and would escape to follow him around the yard as he worked on his lawn and hedges. Our girls have fond memories of Harry reminding them to stay on our side of the property, although their "fort" toggled the boundary. When they wandered a bit to his side, I'll never forget his smile as he went about his yard work. He secretly (not so secretly) loved it, it was his neighborhood entertainment. Harry will truly be missed. Condolences to the family and we are so sorry we missed his ceremony. RIP Harry.
