Neta Sue Myrick, 83, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 in Gainesville, Florida. She was born in Mounds, Illinois, February 13, 1938 to Joseph Clinton and Omah Mae Parker Russell. She attended Woodruff High School in Peoria, Illinois.
On August 21st ,1955 she married Billy J. Myrick while he was stationed at Hanna City,IL in the USAF. They were married for 64 years. Neta enjoyed cooking, gardening ,crafts, reading and being a mother. She was a member of St.Patrick’s Catholic Church in Washington,Il.
She is survived by her son, David Myrick of Pekin, IL and daughters, Jayna (Chuck Mason) of Gainesville,FL and Marissa (John Patak) of Ocala, FL, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Myrick and her son Gerald "Jerry" Myrick.

Aunt Neta….I was sadden to get this news . I will always miss your laughter and "sticking up" for all the kids! You had a huge Family who love you but now you have a bigger Family up in Heaven. You will be so missed..We all love you! RIP..Its time to rest~I will see you again!

We miss you so much Aunt Neta! I miss the long talks on the phone and laughing with you and mama sitting around the kitchen table when we were able to visit. You were mama’s best friend for many years. Jayna, David and Marissa I know you are hurting and missing Aunt Neta and Uncle Bill so much. They loved all of you and were very proud of their family! Sending my love and prayers to all of you!
