John Rowinski

John Christopher Rowinski, 51, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Wheaton, IL and CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 17,2021 with his wife and family by his side after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born March 19, 1970, in Bridgeport, CT to John and Judy (DeLibro) Rowinski. He was a 1988 graduate of Wheaton North High School and 1992 graduate of lona College in New Rochelle, NY. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Sands), formerly of St. Charles, IL, his parents John and Judy Rowinski, sisters Leigh Anne Rowinski and Jamie Rowinski, all of Cheshire, CT, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. CH DeLibro and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Rowinski, all of CT.
John met Barbara, his soulmate, in 1999 while working at GE Capital in Barrington, IL, married in 2005 and made each other laugh every day. He will be remembered for his love of his wife, family, friends, fishing, beaches, walking trails/birding with his wife, and his dogs and his sense of humor. John was my fraternity brother and friend from Iona College. Ski was LOVED by his brothers and friends from Iona. He was a great guy and we had too many laughs to count together.
