Richard J. Vigilante

Richard J. Vigilante passed away on August 14,2021 at age 77. Born on December 17, 1943 in Newark, NJ. Moved to Florida in 1973. He had his own carpet business until 1979. Richard (Richie) was loved by everyone. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. He would walk into a room and have everyone smiling. He will be missed by all who loved him.


He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lynne Vigilante, his children, daughter Donna Marie Vigilante, sons Robert (Sue), Richard (Jeanette) and Carl (Mary), brother Thomas J. Vigilante (Mona), sister Debra Vigilante Novak (Steve), grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

  1. I will miss my father. He was always positive and I could lean on him for advise. He was my friend. I will miss our weekly chats. God bless to our family. My thoughts and prayers go to all.

    My sincere condolences,
    Richie will be surely missed by many , I have fond memories of staying with you both many,
    many ,years ago and I will cherish how richie was my tour guide since he made me return that convertible mustang, which I tried to tell him No … I want it !! But I lost that battle with him of course.He also was good at teaching me how to find sharks teeth on the beach .
    cherish all the memories you have all shared with richie near & dear to your hearts .

  6. We want to remember the good times we had when the kids were young. All six of them including Debbie, She was with us.
    From Kittery, Me to Jacksonville Beach, Fl we did have some fun times. Bless you Richard, rest in peace. As a vet thanks for your service.

    "Richie" his kindness and concern for my wellbeing was in tune with if he was my own Son !!! Neither of you ever forgot to include me in any of the Holidays or any given week with card and phone calls for ever coming in.
    Lynne I know the emptiness you feel in your Heart and I will pray that will lighten in time. Richie Rest in forever peace until we meet again.

  9. My Husband, My Love, My Best Friend, My Rock, I loved you like no other. You were my world. Knowing you for 57 years, almost my whole lifetime. We did everything together. A wonderful 37 years together. You spoiled me to no end, and I loved you every day of my life. I will miss you so much but you will always be in my heart. You were my soulmate. I will never forget you my love. Rest in peace until we can be together again.

  10. From the time I first met you Richie you made me feel at home. Had alot of nice dinners with you and lynne. You made the Best spaghetti and meatballs. You always had a smile on your face. You were always there for someone in need. You will be greatly missed.

  11. Richie, My Brother-in law, My Brother, I can't believe you've gained your Angel wings already. We weren't ready for it. Thank you for being there for my sister all these years. We've had so many great times together, working with you at the Flea market, when you and Lynne came to visit, and let's not forget the BBQ's at your house. I will always cherish the memories. You and Lynne have been there for me since I moved to Florida, I will never forget it. I love you my brother and you will truly be missed. Rest assured, I will be by Lynne's side and she will be fine in time. Rest in Peace my Brother until we see each other again.
