Karen Arn

September 11, 2021

Karen Michelle Arn, DPT, 41, of St. Johns FL passed away in the hospital on September 11, 2021. She was born on February 19, 1980, in Jacksonville, FL. Karen and her family moved back to the Jacksonville area four years ago after living in Ohio for many years. Karen and her husband Fred were married in 2002 and were blessed with two sons, Ace and Aiden.

Karen graduated from University of North Florida and pursued her doctorate degree at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Karen spent the past 13 years working as a physical therapist primarily in the home health field. She enjoyed helping people regain their mobility so they could lead a happier, more active life.

Karen was actively involved with her son’s Cub Scout packs and loved hiking and the outdoors. Having children in Cub Scouts was a perfect fit for her. She also had a love for animals, especially dogs. She would typically look for rescue pups because she felt like they really needed love and a good home. Karen loved all types of music, was an avid reader and was a big fan of anything related to Alice in Wonderland or Dr. Who.

Karen is survived by her husband of 19 years, Fred, and her two sons, Ace and Aiden Arn. She is also survived by her mother, Lola Argalas, sister Kristen Argalas (Chad Carson), and nephew Tam Carson. Karen was preceded in death by her father Tom Argalas in June 2021. Additionally, Karen leaves behind father and mother in-law, Fred and Sandy Arn, sister in-law Susie Cook (Eddie), and nieces Hannah, Briana, and Lindsey.

The family has requested to please send memorial donations to the Boy Scouts of America North Florida Council, nfcscouting.org/donate or Florida Pomeranian Rescue, donate.rescueme.org/Pomeranian.
