Hello All,
I just wanted to take a little bit of your time, to talk about the man that was my father. All of you knew him and I am sure that you all have fond memories of him. He was a son, a brother, a devoted husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, a working man, and a thinker. First and foremost, God made this man with his divine wisdom and made my father a teacher. My father has taught me all of the truly important lessons I have ever learned and I dare say most of the people reading this can say that he taught them some valuable lesson, too. He was quick with his wit and quick with his laughter. He was the blueprint for work ethic. He loved his family with ferocity. He was not a perfect man, but without question he was the right man for the the labor of love that he was assigned. He could test your limits and we all know that is true, but I believe he tested our limits to force us to see the world in new ways that we had not seen. All that knew him—knew he was amazing with numbers. His final lesson was to us all and one of numbers, It was a question and a statement in classic Darrell Wilcox style. What is the meaning of a minute, know its power and its value god gives us only so many. Love deeply, Learn much, see the world in new ways and take nothing for granted because we all float on this river.
Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Wilcox Family.
