Douglas Adam Miller

October 14, 2021

Douglas Adam Miller (70) peacefully left this earth at his home in Old Town, Florida, with the assistance of Hospice, on October 14, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer surrounded by family and friends.

Doug was born to Adrian Miller and June (Adams) Miller on August 28, 1951. He was one of 5 children, and the oldest son.  Doug’s father was in the military and the family moved quite often. That bestowed Doug’s free spirit and he traveled extensively, hitchhiking across the country several times. One time with his momma dog and a box of puppies.  Doug left home at the age of 15 and landed at the ranch of Charlie Beard in Meteetssee, Wyoming.  Doug met his wife, Kari Harbicht in Casper, Wyoming. And although the couple later divorced, 2 beautiful children were born of the union.  Cody Royce Miller and Carly Jane (Miller) Kloster.

Doug had a gypsy soul and was a true free spirit. He was very intelligent and loved a good debate.  He was also very stubborn. He always called Florida his home.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Del Miller and Daniel Miller, and his aunt, Kathy Lund.

Doug  is survived by his better half of 27 years, Judy Lange.  He is survived by his children Cody (Dana) Miller, Carly Kloster and Cady (Evan) Watts.  Grandchildren Madison and Royce Miller, Crew and Kade Kloster and Summer and Hazel Watts.  He is also survived by his sisters, Donna Miller and Dixie (Luke) Grinstead and his cousin, Bunky Lund who was more like a brother, and numerous other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made in Doug’s name to The Haven Foundation, 4200 NW 90 Blvd., Gainesville, Florida 32606-3809,  for whom we will be forever grateful.
