November 11, 2021

James (Bob) Robert Baller, Sr. was born in Chadron, NE in 1931.  He was one of three children born to Elizabeth and George Baller of NE. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Lindmier Baller of 71 years. James and Dorothy had five children, Winifred Smiley (deceased), James Baller, Jr. (Debbie Smith Baller), Steven Baller (deceased), Raina Balcom (deceased), and Renae Haug (Gary Haug).  They also had the joy of nine grandchildren- April Davis~NY, Nicole Davis (deceased), Stephanie Kauffman, Melissa Nadenik, Kimberly Thorpe,  Shantell Tredwell, Trent Smiley, Sierra Greaney, and Desiree Cubler, as well as 13 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. James knew early on that his life was not complete-something was missing. It was about 1959 that he started to fill his spiritual need when he began studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses. He enriched his life when he found satisfying answers to the questions he had about life and the future. Along with his wife, he dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in January 14, 1961. James enjoyed a rewarding life by sharing the Bible truths he had learned with many others. He was a member of the South Ocala Congregation.  Although he suffered many hardships and grief of losing children and grandchildren he found comfort in God's promise to bring them back to life again~~Acts 24:15.

By trade James was an accomplished brick mason and worked in Omaha, and surrounding areas, on some large and impressive projects. He also worked on many Kingdom Hall projects and loved being a part of this volunteer work. As his health declined he became less capable of demanding labor, but still enjoyed association and donuts while visiting Kingdom Hall maintenance sites.

After moving his family to South Florida in the early 70's he began delivering airfreight. Eventually, moving further North to Ocala where he began to work with his youngest son, Steve, in the furniture refinishing business. James enjoyed getting together with his musician friends playing music and dancing. He had a love for creation and enjoyed being outdoors-fishing was one of his many outdoor pleasures. He has enjoyed decades of lasting friendships. His family and friends will deeply miss him, but they look forward to seeing him again when God fulfills his promise to resurrect the dead to life again here on earth.~~John 5:28, 29. At that time, he will enjoy life in perfect health and will enjoy life to the full in a paradise on earth, as God purposed it to be.
