  1. My step father of 35 years is far more than a step father. He was my mentor, best friend, my dad…my pop as I called him. He introduced me to the world of aviation while he worked as a flight instructor at NAS Millington Tn in the late 80s and then chief flight instructor. My pop was a talented aviator with a CFII and MEI ratings. My pop taught hundreds of students in the Navy as well as in the civilian world. My pop adored and honored my mother for 35 years. I will always be grateful for his honesty, his love for family and friends, and his never ending love for his Creator. I love you pop! You will ALWAYS be missed

  2. Brother Hubbard was a wonderful man and we were so blessed to have him as a member of our church family. He is deeply missed.

  3. Richard was my best friend. He was my flying instructor and we flew together for over 25 years. He was a wonderful and gentle person. A one of a kind that was respected by everyone. Always loved, never forgotten and forever missed.
You now are in heaven and have your wings to fly everywhere.

  4. Brother Hubbard was a gentle giant. He exuded kindness & compassion.
I had the honor to worship with him in Tennessee.
Brother Hubbard lived the great commandment. He will be missed here on this earth.

  5. Son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, husband, uncle, teacher, pastor, friend and child of God..these are just a few words which describe who Richard Hubbard was but only a few of us were blessed to be able to call him Daddy and I am one of those blessed ones! Our family is forever grateful for the gift God gave us in allowing Daddy to spend his final weeks in Florida with his daughters, grandchildren & great grandchildren…totally unexpected! We have so many precious memories from this time with him and he was able to meet his youngest great grandchild for the first time. All of Daddy's great grands knew him except this youngest one. Our family will do all we can over the coming years to help her know what a wonderful, loving, kind, gentle, funny and special person he was! All of us who knew him can let him live on in the better parts of ourselves which he influenced. He is deeply missed and there is a hole inside me now that only God's grace can fill until I see Daddy again. I love you, Daddy, and miss you terribly but I know all of your physical pain and mental anguish is gone and has been replaced with complete healing in Christ Jesus and the perfect peace of God. Until I see you again…

    Your baby girl,
    Lori

  6. My heart is so broken at the loss of Brother Richard. We at Acts ll  loved him so much. He was one of the most godliest men I have ever known. He will truly be missed. He was one of God’s special blessings in my life. I’m so grateful that God brought him and his precious daughter , Lori,, into my life. Thank you Jesus

  7. I am going to miss my friend, Brother Richard. He was a truly delightful man of God. He had such a sweet love for Christ and that love poured out over everyone he met and he never met a stranger! He loved to tell people about his Jesus, about his Savior in a way that everyone wanted to hear! Brother Richard allowed the Holy Spirit to guide him and speak through him, always with words of encouragement and grace. He not only shared about Jesus, but somehow made everyone he spoke to feel they were special to Jesus. It wasn’t just his words. Bro. Richard somehow radiated the love of Christ in a way that we knew the Spirit of God was at work in him. There was a joy that sorta wept from him whenever he talked about the Lord and he had this lovely rumbling laugh that caused you to laugh along with him.
Brother Hubbard was so very proud of “his girls” and I’m glad he was able to spend his last weeks on earth surrounded by his loving family. He was a great encourager, a great shepherd and I’m so glad he was my friend. I miss him. I miss his laugh. Scripture tells us that if we are absent from the body then we are present with the Lord.

  8. My little family first came to Acts 2 community church in 2017 only a few times, We knew it was filled with great people life just got in the way of us attending full time. We returned for good in 2019, Brother Hubbard was the first person to come up and greet me and remember us and I remembered him as well. Such a friendly familiar face and a heart full of love for our Lord will always be my best memory of our return to our church family.

  9. A brother in Christ that will be missed. For those reading, in Christ we have hope to see him again when we pass. Thank God for the time we had with him, for his service in the navy, and in the kingdom of God. I'll miss watching him cut up with the other military men at our church.
