Ocala, FL – Roger was born on November 10, 1935 in Portland, ME to the late Clifford Williams and Christine (Farr) Williams. He was one of eight children. He passed away on December 9, 2021 after a gradual decline and very short illness.
Roger met his wife Joanne (Roy) Williams in Hartford CT. They were married for 56 years. Roger and Joanne lived in CT for 30 years where Roger was the owner of a service station named R&R Citco in Enfield CT. Roger was a member of the Moose Club, which was right behind his station.
Roger started his working life at the young age of 5, digging for clams every morning to help support his family. He moved out of his house at the age of 13 to make a living on his own. As an adult Roger went to work for Dworin Chevrolet as a mechanic. Roger was always considered a master mechanic. He was the guy that other mechanics sent their clients to when they could not fix a problem with the car.
Roger leaves his wife Joanne, one sibling Marilyn and three grandchildren Jennifer Vecharelli, Heather Yutzy and Jason Williams.
Roger was a bit of a perfectionist, which is why he was so good at his occupation. His home, yard, cars and station were always immaculate. When Roger was selling a car, it was usually better than it was when he purchased it. If you wanted a job done right, call Roger. He loved teaching others what he knew.
In his younger years Roger raced stock cars and loved car racing. He also owned a motorcycle for many years and he would go on trips with his brothers into Canada.
The family has chosen not to have a ceremony, but will celebrate his life privately.

Uncle Roger was always happy to see you and never lost his Maine accent. The obituary describes him well. My fondest memory is when he took me out for breakfast and I had strawberry pancakes with whipped cream. My sympathies to Auntie Jo, who will always love him dearly.
I have been blessed by my friendship with Roger and Joanne for nearly 50 years, and it has been a friendship like no other. Between Roger always steering me in the right direction with my “used” cars and Joanne being a true confidant, they have been nothing less than family. My sincere condolences to Joanne and to all those whose lives were made better by knowing Roger. Rest in piece my friend.
