Alan Stuart Bame passed away peacefully on January 17, 2022, at the age of 76. Alan was
a resident of Micanopy Florida, where he enjoyed acres of nature, wildlife, gardening and
peacefulness.
He was born in Dallas, Texas in December 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Alexander Bame and Theresa Goldsmith Bame and his brothers, Howard and Harvey Bame.
Alan graduated from Morgan Park High School in Chicago, Illinois. He attended the
University of Miami and FIU and graduated with his college degree. He retired from the US
Postal Service after 30 years holding various positions including Manager, Labor Relations;
Postmaster, Key Largo; and Manager, Human Resources, South Florida District. Alan was a
proud US Army veteran who served in Korea during the Vietnam era. He is survived by his
wife, Karen Bame, of 21 years; children Brad and Jennifer Paolucci and grandson, Noah
Alexander; Brian and Tatiana Paolucci; and Jennifer Bame and William Payne, grandson
Oberon Alan and granddaughter Olive.
Alan enjoyed cooking on the BBQ while listening to his favorite doo-wop music and enjoying a
cold one. He loved playing the piano and keyboard. He began playing at a very young age.
In high school, he and his buddies formed a band. He loved everything from classical and
Broadway tunes to rock and roll, the Beatles, Elton John and Queen.
He will be greatly missed by all.......so, “RIP My Love, until we meet again”.
In accordance with Alan's wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service.

Alan was an amazing gentleman. I remember showing him the game “UNREAL TOURNAMENT” when Jen and I were in high school. I will always remember his no-guff type of conversation, with insight on life, compassion, and whole-heartedness. He will be truly missed as a loving father and a great friend.

Condolences on your loss. I too have a lost a very dear friend and colleague. Alan made my time in Miami a great bit easier for me. We shared many wonderful times together along with many friends and coworkers. I will forever treasure those times and his friendship. May he rest in peace.
