Thomas Vasco Burns III of Gainesville, Fl passed away on February 7, 2022 at The Malcom Randall VA Center. Thomas, also known or more commonly known to family and friends as, Tommy, was born on January 9, 1954. Tommy was a Gainesville native and an avid Florida Gator fan. He is preceded in death with his parents, Ada and Thomas Vasco Burns Jr. and his son, Tony (TC) Burns. Tommy Burns leaves to carry on his memories to his wife, Krystal Burns, of Gainesville, Fl. His sister, Linda McCoy, of Gainesville, Fl. His son, Thomas Vasco Burns IV (Auriel), of Gainesville, Fl. His daughter, Alexis Earnhart (Jimmy) of Trenton, FL. Step son, Jayson Martin, of Gainesville, Fl . A niece, Whitney Kennard (Kyle), of Green Cove Springs, Fl. Five Grandchildren: Mary, Lee, Brooke, Vasco, and Jayson. One great niece and one great nephew.
Interment will be at Bushnell National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl at a later date. Please contact the Family for Memorial Service information.

I was stationed in Germany with Tommy in the Army. We were very close friends at the time, but never kept in touch after our service. I'm so sorry to hear that he has passed.
