Curtis “Tinker” Bennewitz, 64, of Ocklawaha, FL, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2022, surrounded by his family. Tinker grew up and worked many years in Melbourne, FL before moving to Ocklawaha. He worked in the construction industry for nearly 40 years. Beyond being a skilled carpenter, he enjoyed boating, fishing, and scuba diving. He had great compassion for animals and took care of many strays over the years. Tinker will be dearly missed and always remembered. Tinker was predeceased by his brother, Chris Bennewitz, father, Curtis Bennewitz, Sr., and step-father, Lowell “Bud” Ulery. He is survived by his mother, Marlene Ulery, brothers, Randy (Billie) Bennewitz and Denny Bennewitz, sisters Tami (Sonny) Bates and Penny (Randy) Lacey, many nieces and nephews, also his dear friends Mike Marsh, Chris and Roxann Beck.
