Allen Perry

Allen Earl Perry, "Cajun", 84, of Citra, FL passed away of cancer at his daughter's (Erica) home, surrounded by family and friends on June 17, 2022, two weeks before his 85th birthday. Born in Opelousas, LA, to Earl and Isabel Perry. He attended Opelousas High School class of 1955 where he was a member of the OHS Boxing Team, State Champions in 1955. Mr. Perry was a veteran who served in the navy for 2 years. He was a welder by trade for 30 years. His favorite past-time included fishing, hunting, and airboating; as he was a founding member of the United Sportsman Airboat Alliance and sat on the Board of Directors for 13 years. Cajun was known as The Keeper of Orange Lake. He was a faithful member of Micanopy's Flemington Baptist Church. 
 
Survived by daughters Erica Wilcox (Dale), Anji Cochran (Calvin), Melody Perry and former wife and friend, Nelda Bibb, his grand children Lindsay Wilcox, Kayla Wilcox, Jennifer Williams (Blake), John Stirling, Jacqui Stirling, Dahlia Cochran, Benjamin and Tyler Baumer; and his great grand children, Kamryn Wilcox-Rochelle, Kayleb Werley, Hudson and Hunter Williams.
