Percival M. Regis
“Reggie”
04/18/1963 – 06/27/2022
Announcing the passing of Percival Mabaet Regis (known by most as Reggie and Percy), on June 27, 2022.
Reggie was known as a caring husband, father, grandfather and brother, a beloved local postman, proud Marine veteran, and a friend to all. He enjoyed travel, trying different cuisines, cooking, riding motorcycles, camping, gaming, live music & old-school rock, and loved spending time with his family. He was often one to lighten the atmosphere with his quirky sense of humor and quick wit, adding his “Reggie-isms” to the moment. The kind of person who would help anyone in need, he was passionate about Veterans causes, especially when it came to suicide prevention. As a letter carrier for decades, he loved his postal family and customers.
During his 14 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, Reggie served tours of duty in Desert Storm and Desert Shield, as well as private duties in Washington, DC.
Predeceased by his father, Panfilo Regis. He is survived by Deborah, his loving wife and partner of 18 years, his mother Carolina, his brothers Daniel, Bong, Jovito and Milo and their families respectively; His children Steven, Christopher and Samantha; step-children Jean, Christie and Kennen, as well as six grandchildren and a large international extended family.

Reggie
was a kind, compassionate and friendly soul who always greeted us with a smile and warm disposition. It was a pleasure to interact with him each time he would drop our mail off to our family business. Our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers go out to the family during this difficult time. May God surround you with His grace and continue to bless you now and always.

Dear Mrs. Regis:
Last Friday, finally got your website info from mgr. at Main St. postoffice. Just want you to know how very saddened the Suburban Hgts. neighborhood is over Reggie's passing. He was, without doubt, the most caring, attentive carrier we've ever had; not just here but in Richmond, Miami, even NYC. But more importantly, whenever we had a chance to chat, the conversation always revolved around you foremost, and then his beloved family. We so appreciated his keen sense of humor and enjoyed saving political cartoons regarding the Post Office for him; he told me he posted them at work.
The Post Office mgr. told me you will be having a memorial for Reggie sometime in the near future. We so hope to be notified, as along with several neighbors, we'd like to pay our respects to a very special man, Reggie with the huge heart. Till then, our deepest sympathy are with you and your large, beautiful family.
I am heartbroken to hear the news of Reggie's passing. He was the kindest, funniest and friendliest person I had the privilege of meeting. He was my Mailman for several years and was always kind and willing to help. His absence will be noticed. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Reggie was an amazing person and we looked forward to seeing him every day. My kids thought he brought their presents instead of Santa! He was so good with them when they always wanted to “help” him even though it took him longer with their help! My heart goes out to his family. He was truly one of those rare people who had a good heart.
