Matthew Nunley

Matthew (Matt) Nunley, age 43, of Jacksonville, FL passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2022. A native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, where he graduated from Forrest High School and attended Jacksonville University. Matt was a natural athlete and was the baseball team’s catcher during his high school and college years.
Matt was the son of late William Lawson “Doug” Nunley Sr. and Agnes Marie Atohi Nunley and was proceeded in death by his grandparents, George and Marie Atohi and William Lee Nunley, his brother William “Lawson” Nunley Jr. and his son Christian Lee Nunley.
He is survived by his daughters: Laura and Taylor Nunley of Huntersville, NC; Alexis Burris of Jacksonville, FL; Cherish “Gracie” Nunley of Jacksonville, FL and his son Christian M. “Bubba” Nunley of Jacksonville, FL; his siblings AJ Mack of Jacksonville, FL and Jill Russell of Athens, TN; his paternal grandmother, Wilma Jean Nunley of Athens, TN, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
