Maryanita Bernstein passed away at the age of eighty on Sunday October 9, 2022. She was born January 21, 1942 in Springfield, Ohio to Patricia J. Oakleaf. Maryanita attended Springfield Catholic Central High School, while simultaneously working at Wren’s Department Store as a cosmetic advisor and model to help her single parent mother and her two brothers Jan and Kevin. After graduation, she worked a variety of jobs, including her favorite position as a Manager’s Assistant with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. She had a passion for the arts, history, and rights of all individuals.
She moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1977, where she met and married Mason Aldrich, her husband of nearly twenty wonderful years, before his passing in 1996. Maryanita was very proud of her brothers and their families. She would visit both as often as possible.
Maryanita is survived by her brother Jan Weinbrecht (Cynthia), her nieces Brooke Weinbrecht (Matthew Hodges) as well as two great-nephews Lee and Landon Hodges, and Lindsey Hyer (Justin). Her youngest brother Kevin Weinbrecht (Jennifer) and two nieces Beth Dean (Adam) and Amy Patterson (Greg), a great-niece Izzy Dean and three more great-nephews Oliver Dean, Colin Patterson and Charlie Patterson. And by her daughter Kelly St. Clair (Steve) and two grandsons Nick and Chris.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Bernstein family.

Maryanita will be missed… she was very nice to me at family gatherings…I am praying for comfort for her family… the holidays will be sadder this year

I was just notified by a former neighbor of MaryAnita that she had gone to heaven to join the love of her life Mason. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. I know from conversations over the years she adored her family. May she rest in peace.
