Malcolm Roger Stover

March 26, 1950 ~ November 6, 2022

Malcolm Roger Stover, 72, of Saint Johns, FL, passed away the morning of Sunday, November 6, 2022.  Malcolm was born in Camden, SC and grew up in Pensacola, FL where he graduated from W.J. Woodham High School, Pensacola Junior College, and the University of West Florida.  It was at PJC that he discovered his passion for working with computers and technology, and he went on to make a career as a Systems Engineer.

During college he worked at the local Burger Chef where he met Delores Farris, and they were married in January 1972.  They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Malcolm was quite the storyteller and always appreciated a good joke or pun.  He enjoyed travel, especially by boat, and was a life-long lover of military history and aircraft.  He loved music and playing the guitar, and was an accomplished woodworker who enjoyed tinkering in his shop.

Malcolm is survived by wife Delores, daughter Jennifer, sons Ryan and Andrew, brothers Larry (Linda) Stover and Harry Stover, sister Dottie Stover, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Stover family.

Guestbook

  1. My condolences to Malcolm's family. He was an exceptional person to work with, very considerate and always a joy to talk to.
    He will be sorely missed.

  2. My deepest condolences to Malcolm's family. I knew him through work over the last 15 years or so. His time and patience was always afforded to me and others as he explained very technical matters with ease.

He will be remembered as he should, a good person with a tremendous talent.

  3. I will always remember that amazing smile and wonderful since of humor.
A smile naturally appears when I think of our last visit.  Love always.

  4. My deepest condolences to you all. Malcolm was such a wonderfully generous and jovial man. His kindness and warm smile will not be forgotten.

  5. Malcolm and I were best of friends from elementary school, and since we grew up as neighbors, we rode the same bus to school and played together through High School. I tried to keep up with him learning how to play the guitar, and we spent many hours at his house jamming – and our best musical effort was playing Pipeline by the Ventures.  …Farewell my friend – until we meet again (and get to play our heavenly guitars)!  I will miss you tremendously.

  6. Malcolm left a positive impression on everyone he met. It didn't matter who you were or where you came from, Malcolm always had a kind word or a funny story to tell you. I will truly miss him!
