John Henry Thomas

John Henry Thomas of Gainesville, FL fell asleep in death on Saturday, December 17, 2022 in his home. He was 62.

He was born in Indio, CA to the late Warren Edward Thomas, Sr. and Norma Ruth Applegate Thomas on April 8, 1960.

John met the love of his life, Brenda Kay Smith and married her on July 23, 1983 in Dodge City, KS.

John moved from Fontana, CA to Gainesville, FL in the summer of 1982 to work with his brother Warren Thomas, Jr. in his business Warren Thomas Cleaning Service. Following the death of his brother in June 1983 John continued to operate Thomas Cleaning Service until his health forced him to retire on June 12, 2012.

In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing and golfing with his sons and friends until his health declined in recent years.

On October 16,1982 John symbolized his dedication to serve Jehovah by being baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a member of the Central Gainesville congregation.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda, his two sons John Michael and his wife Neena, and his son Kevin Tyler and his wife Nicole (Nikki) and his two grandchildren, Amelia Grace and Garrett Tyler. 

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends throughout Gainesville and beyond.
