Debra Jean Lumley

January 1, 2023

Debra (Debbie) Jean Lumley, age 66, of Keystone Heights FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Sunday, January 1, 2023 at North Florida Medical Center, Gainesville Florida. Debbie was born on a Monday, July 9, 1956 to Shirley Jean (Mitchell) Lumley and the late Paul Alvie Lumley in Tampa Florida. Debbie is survived by her mother, Shirley J. Degeer, of Fleming Island, her sister, Kathy L. Barrios of Fleming Island, her son, Jason Edward Michael Sr. of Live Oak, her daughter, Julie M. Michael of Starke, life long partner of 43 years, John Richard Woodard Sr. and several beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Debbie was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, "grammy" and amazing friend to many. She went above and beyond as the manager of Circle K in Melrose. She was also the previous owner of Jessie's Lounge (now Whiskey River) in Starke Florida. As a child, Debbie loved animal's, horses and the rodeo. She was an avid "General Hospital" TV show fan. Debbie was always down for fun and never met a stranger.  She loved the outdoors and spending time at Camp Blanding. She jokingly called her friends and loved ones "turkey butt". All will remember her smile, dimples and energy, so big. You wouldn't know how she fit it into her short stature. Debbie will be greatly missed but her spirit will live on in the lives that she touched along her beautiful journey and stories of her will be shared for ages. Debbie's family has entrusted her care to Crevasse's Simple Cremation in Gainesville. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later time. Finally interment will be at Bay Hill Cemetery, Bushnell Florida at a later date to be determined.

I know we lost touch for many years. I am so glad that we connected again. Although it was only a few times we got together since we came back to the area, Rick "Bear" and I had a great day on the pontoon boat and reminiscing old times. You will be missed very much. I will always remember the many good times we had back in the day, bbq's, horse back riding, parades and the Side Door Saloon Love and miss you, Vicki
