Paul Monseur

January 14, 2023

Paul D. Monseur, 88, of Saint Augustine, Fl. and formerly of the Parsons Section of Wilkes Barre, peacefully entered into eternal life after a brief
illness on January 14, 2023 surrounded by his family at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Paul was born June 9, 1934 to the late George and Wadded Monseur. He worked many years as a welder for Garwood Industries and later joined the
Teamsters Union as a truck driver prior to retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 3 brothers; Peter, Monroe and Raymond and 4 sisters; Sadie, Vivian, Janette and Rosemary. Paul (Pop Pop) was an avid sportsman in his younger days enjoying hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and outings with his family and passed on his love for the outdoors to his children. A lifelong poker player, he enjoyed his weekly sojourns to “the Poker Room” right up to the point he became ill. The Uber drivers could always tell when he had a good day based on the “tips” they received. He is survived by his wife Louise; sons Paul (Susan) Monseur and George Monseur; daughter Sherri (Dave) Kerdesky; grandchildren Todd (Nika) Monseur, Dana Kerdesky, Staci Kerdesky and Casey Kerdesky; and great grandson Owen Monseur. We will all sorely miss his infectious smile and yearly rendition of the Happy Birthday song on our birthdays. Paul’s family wishes to express our sincere appreciation to the staff of Baptist Memorial Hospital and Community Hospice for their respectful and compassionate care.

Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Monseur family.
