Cynthia Albaum

February 27, 2023

On Monday, February 27, 2023, Cindy Albaum of Ocala, FL, loving wife and mother of two, sadly passed away at age 64. Born to Charlotte and Edward Woodbury in Massachusetts, Cindy moved to Florida at age 13. After graduating with her Associate’s degree, she began working as a medical assistant and later met her husband, Phil. They soon moved to Ocala to be closer to family and were together for 35 years.

Cindy was heavily involved in her community and spent many years working with the Marion County School Board. She served as a librarian at both Dr. N.H. Jones Elementary and later at Forest High School. Cindy loved her dogs, reading, sewing, exercising, baking, catching up with friends, and never missed her kids’ theater performances, dance recitals, soccer games, piano recitals, or volleyball games. She was frequently found volunteering at various events at school or Ocala Civic Theatre and never missed an opportunity to support her friends and family.

Cindy is best known for her quick wit, infectious laugh, valued relationships, and overall love of life. She is survived by her husband, Phil, daughters Morgan and Haley, mother Charlotte, sister Dale, stepdaughters Abby and Vanessa, and several nieces and nephews.

The family asks that those who would like, please make a donation in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
