Michael DeLeo

On March 1st 2023; Michael James DeLeo of Lebanon, PA. was called home to be with the Lord; loving son of the late Salvatore and Maria (nee Tallarita) DeLeo; beloved husband of the late Vivien DeLeo and Jean DeLeo; devoted father of Samuel DeLeo and wife Denise (Jacksonville, FL) and stepfather to Jeffrey Snyder (Phoenix, AZ) and wife Para, Beth Evans (Street, MD) and husband Charlie; cherished grandfather of Danielle, Gregory, LeslieAnn and step-grandfather to Corey, Ryan, Blake, Paul, Taylor, Tristin, and Cameron; dear great-grandfather of Collins and step great-grandfather to Donaven, Akrya, Raynie, Keoni, Ethan, Ava and Charlotte; preceded in death by his brother and two sisters; also survived by many loving nieces, family, and friends. Mike was born on January 22nd, 1928 in Luzerne, Pennsylvania. He dedicated his life to serve his community and country by joining the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge, his career accomplishments included, Chief of Police and Sheriff of Lebanon County, and Chief of Security at O’Hare Airport. He was also a devoted member of the Lebanon County Republican Party. He decided to broaden his education by graduating from the FBI Academy. Mike served in law enforcement for 62 years. He retired at the age of 85 as the Sheriff of Lebanon County. When Mike wasn’t serving his community, he enjoyed staying current by reading his morning newspaper and watching the news in his favorite recliner. You could always count on Mike asking to go to dinner at Soprano’s Restaurant or The Riding Club for their breakfast buffet. He enjoyed hosting parties and socializing with his friends and colleagues. Mike was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years. He lived a long, prosperous life of 95 years and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
