David Charles Jaso, age 79, took his last breath on March 27, 2023. David was born in Long Beach, CA on January 1, 1944, to Adam and Billie Jaso. He was the first born of three children.
David grew up in Long Beach and graduated from Polytechnic High School. He attended Long Beach City College and LB State College before going to serve his country in 1966. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1968 and moved to San Rafael in northern CA. David became a carpenter and remained in the area until moving to Florida in 2019.
David was preceded in death by both parents, his nephews Robert and Michael Turpin, and his second wife, Kathryn Moussa. He is survived by his siblings, James Jaso and Janet Watson, his nephew Adam Jaso and his niece Billie Jaso, his son Matthew Jaso, grandson Remy and great nephew, Desmond Jaso. David had a strong bond with his stepfamily, including several grandchildren and a great granddaughter. David and Kathryn enjoyed entertaining. David loved good food, fine wine and his beloved dog, Pike.
David was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease due to Agent Orange exposure in Viet Nam and suffered from dementia. He passed away peacefully with a loved one by his side.
David will be laid to rest by family at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.






So very sorry to hear of David's passing. We worked together at Pacific Hospital and played many games of tennis together on Billie Jean King's tennis courts at Vet's Park and Griffith Park (just for the adventure I guess). He was such a quiet but fun guy to be around and I am very happy to have known him.
