Ty Alan Heichel

Ty Alan Heichel, 54, of Ocklawaha FL, passed away unexpectedly June 3, 2023.

Ty was born on September 6, 1968 in Wellsboro PA to Harley ‘Bud’ Heichel and Cinda (Bryant) Heichel.

Ty was predeceased by his sisters Tammy (1992) and Ann (1997). He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Thelma Jean ‘TJ’ (Foster) Heichel, of Ocklawaha FL; 3 daughters and 4 sons, Des Holmos, Brett, Jerry of PA; Jessica, Tammy, Ty, John Alan of FL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; parents Bud Heichel of Florida and Cinda Heichel of GA; sister Amy (Chris) Jeffery of GA; brothers Chris (Peggy) of PA; Curtis ‘Speedy’, Harley ‘Bull’, Bruce (Heather), Alan ‘Choppy’ of FL; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Ty graduated from North Penn High School in Blossburg PA in 1987. He entered the U.S. Navy shortly after graduation and served on the U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower out of Virginia Beach with two deployments to the Mediterranean. He was a plane director on the flight deck. Ty returned home from his first deployment to meet his 3-month-old son Brett.

Ty was employed by Martindale Construction Services. He was a carpenter that could build or fix anything that was put before him. He assisted on hurricane debris clean up. Ty was always there for anyone that needed help. He loved animals, especially his dog Lily who is lost without him.

  4. We were separated by alot of time and miles. I'm sorry i didn't know im better. I remember lots of fun on the farms. He was always asking me to take him hunting and fishing. We rode dirt bikes together and had a blast.
