  3. I am so sorry to hear Terri passed on. She served at my mother's funeral at St Augustine's in 1999 and I was very grateful to her for helping. Served with her on the vestry at St Augustine's. She was a kind lady and a good leader.

  4. Terri was the first female minister we had at Emmanuel. She paved the way for others. I am grateful.

She performed the marriage ceremony at Emmanuel for my husband and I, with Deacon John Dolan. What a day that was!

  5. A most beautifully written obituary. We regret that we won't be able to attend Terri's memorial service next Friday as we will be spending time with family in New York City. We enjoyed many years of friendship with Terri at St. Augustine's, Morrow, GA. We visited her when she was at seminary in New York, and were also present for her ordination to the priesthood in Chicago. We maintained communication with Terri over the years. Just last Fall we made tentative plans to visit her in Ponte Vedra Beach this coming October. We were blessed to enjoy her friendship. The Peace of the Lord be your family. Robert & Ginny Harrell

  13. Rev. Terri was an incredible blessing to our parish, St. Teresa’s, & we would have been grateful to keep her!  She had such a calm & powerful way of communicating at each person’s level.  She gave the BEST anniversary blessings of any priest I have ever seen, giving each couple’s individually & having the couple face each other & hold hands, as they did when married however many years ago.  She connected with the oldest & youngest, & everyone in between.  Our children absolutely adore her.  Her blessings of the animals were heartfelt.  What a lovely person & we’re so grateful to have known Rev. Terri.

  14. I met Terri in the early 1980’s when a mutual friend of ours, Fay Samples, planned a trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Six of us gals spent several days there over the Memorial Day weekend and had a great time.  After we returned to Atlanta, we got together about once a week.  In July of 1980 Fay introduced me to Marvin Taylor, and in July 1981 we got married at Faye’s home.  The “Myrtle Beach Gang” took care of everything except the license and the minister!  It was so sweet of them and it was wonderful to have that group of friends!  In 1999 Marvin and I retired and moved to my hometown of Etowah, Tennessee.  I had lost touch with Terri by then, but I certainly remember the great times we all had together!  On a visit back to Atlanta, we ran into Bob at a restaurant, and he told us that Terri had become a minister.  John, Lisa, and other family members, I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers!   Karen Wear Taylor (Marvin’s widow after 39 years together)

  15. To Rev. Terri’s family,
Terri was a blessing to me when she asked me to serve on the St. John’s Vestry and then invited me to join her at the 2019 Annual Conference of the Diocese of Atlanta. She was elated to help serve as a bible instructor for the VBS children and to help plan Formation for parishioners.  She also baptized my grand niece which offers pleasant memories.  I will miss her kindred spirit. My Prayers and Condolences.
