Fred Wilder Tileston

Fred Wilder Tileston age, 82, of Cedar Key, Florida passed away on 6/13/2023 at HCA Ocala.

Fred was born on 8/20/40 in Boston, Massachusetts to John Boise and Sarah (Stanton)Tileston. His family moved to Florida when he was 4 years of age. He considered Cedar Key his home.

He is preceded in death by his older brother John Stanton Tileston and his younger sister Mary Wilder Tileston. 

Fred proudly served in the US Navy for 4 years as a machinist mate on the USS Essex. He retired as a sergeant from the Ocala Police Dept having served for 30 years.  

He is survived by his daughter, Kristen Boothby, “the apple of his eye” of Tampa, Florida, nephews Stan Tileston of LaCrosse, Florida, Darby Tileston (Levida) of Alachua, Florida and his best friend and former wife, Linda Tileston Gordon of Ocala, Florida.
