Even though I didn´t know you as well as I maybe could´ve, or should´ve, I still carry your last name. The last name that was given to you on August 20th, 1930, was given to me on March 13th, 2008. It is something I take with me everywhere I go, and something I embrace and cherish about myself. I didn´t have as good of a relationship with you as I wanted, and it kicks my butt everyday. The few times we interacted while you were with us, was genuinely amazing. The amount of knowledge and wisdom you had from just existing was unmatched, and I wish I got to hear more of it before you walked the stairs of Heaven. Recently the idea of death has scared me and sparked my anxiety a bit, just the unknowingness of what´s going to happen next. But I´m sure I´ll be just fine as soon as I´m able to see and rejoice with you again. Rest easy Pops, we all love and miss you.
