Thomas J. Peterson, age 75, entered peacefully into eternity on August 6, 2023 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Tom was born on March 31, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Charles and Bernice Peterson. He is survived by his loving wife Debbi, son Christian (Bless), grandchildren (Jack and Isabella), sister Judy (Marty Cusack), and nieces and nephews.
Tom had many desires in his life. He studied and pursued a career in radiation therapy to fulfill his passion in healthcare. After working in the field for a few years he was offered a leadership role and managed the radiation therapy department. Tom’s other longtime passion was his love for music. He was a talented guitarist and singer and his spirit elevated when he played with his late, best friend and “Heart Brother”, Paul Accurso.
Tom married the love of his life, Debbi, on June 13, 1993 and recently celebrated 30 years of marriage. He was a devoted, affectionate husband and loved his fur baby, Kayla. Together Tom and Debbi enjoyed attending live concerts and hosting gatherings for family and friends. Tom was an avid reader and a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Once retiring in Florida, Tom and Debbi met many amazing neighbors and friends. Tom especially looked forward to getting together with his pool buddies.
Tom was a man of integrity. He was kindhearted, thoughtful, and enjoyable to all. We will miss his gentle, compassionate presence and his loving, supportive nature. Tom will be missed and long remembered.

I’m heartbroken hearing of Tom’s passing. I was his 2nd wife. I pray he passed without pain. He made many people happy not only with his free spirit but also with his music. Hello Paul! I often think of you two joking around. Your friendship was priceless.. Hugs- peace out❤️
Dearest Debbie!
I know I can’t make your pain go away, but I want you to know I’m here for you with a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen with, or anything else you may need. Love you
Tom was almost singularly responsible for my music career, short-lived though it was. I’ve been trying to reach him for months and now an Internet search brings me here. I am crushed. But I was lucky to know Tom and have him as a close friend all through High School and for several years after. R.I.P., buddy. I’ll see you on the other side.
