Agnes Marie (nee Henderson) Miller, age 78, passed away on August 23, 2023 at North Florida Rehabilitation & Specialty Care. Agnes Marie was born on February 21, 1945, in McKeesport, PA to George Benjamin Henderson and Agnes Marie Pickford. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and attended Miami-Dade Junior College and the University of Tampa. She was a real estate broker and bookkeeper.
In 1966, Agnes Marie met Joe Miller, Jr. in Fort Myers. They eloped 6 weeks later. As a real estate marketing agent, Joe relocated frequently, taking Agnes Marie to Miami Beach; Hialeah, Florida; Chicago; Reno; and Colorado Springs before returning to Fort Myers, where they resided for 13 years.
They settled in Tampa, opening a commercial cleaning company. Sadly, Joe died in 1996. The young widow joined her daughter residing in St. Petersburg; Marietta, Georgia; and finally Gainesville, FL.
Agnes Marie was predeceased by her parents and older brothers Kenneth, George, and twins Melvin and Alvin.
She is survived by her daughter Alesia “Lesia” Miller Schnur; son-in-law Daniel; and granddaughter Annalise “Bella” Miller Schnur.
Agnes Marie’s cremated remains will be stored alongside her beloved husband and family pets. Funeral services will not be scheduled. Instead, Agnes Marie’s final wish was for those to celebrate her life by reading her favorite, Psalm 23, The Lord Is My Shepherd.

Leisa, I am so sorry to learn of your Mom’s passing. She was wonderful lady and so very kind to me when I lived in Georgia.
My BFF. I miss all the fun times we had just sitting on the porch and talking everyday. I will never forget her and the friendship we shared. She will be truly missed. I'm putting out her "white pumpkins" which I never can fix like she could in honor of her tonight.
I met Agnes and the rest of the family as a new neighbor in 2005. I was fortunate to develop a friendship with all of them, especially Agnes. We got to know one another, cooked together, laughed, talked, ate, drank and were merry together. I will aways treasure that time and our friendship.Â
Agnes Miller was my grandmother. My mother Montese Miller Crandall is her daughter. Not mentioned in this obituary but very much family is also my sister Scarlett Crandall. I was her first grandchild. Although I did not see her much in the last 10 years due to things outside of my control I will always have memories of her I carry. I remember watching Angelina ballerina and eating rolos with her when I was younger. She was my Nunny and always will be. I love you and will carry you with me. I wish I had more words but I’m still processing this myself.Â
