Brent Huber, age 62, of Gainesville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 25, 2023. Born
in January of 1961, in Ohio, he was the second child of George and Ella Mae Huber.
Brent went to Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida where he graduated in 1979. He attended Santa Fe Community College where his father was a professor and Registrar and handed him his associates in arts diploma in 1982. In 1985 Brent graduated from the University of Florida with his bachelor’s degree in marketing. In 1992 he was credentialed by the Department of Insurance in Property Casualty and Life Health and Variable Annuity. Brent went to work for Nationwide Insurance for 10 years and most currently worked for Florida Farm Bureau insurance where he had been a long-standing employee for 27 years.
In 2017 he met Linda, and they were married a years later. Together they had one child, Owen. Brent was very dedicated and active in the racquetball community over the past forty years, having won national championships. If he were not in the office, he could be found on a racquetball court, Gainesville Health and Fitness Center, or on a fishing boat catching dinner.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; son, Owen, step-son, Kenny; sister Becky (Nancy) of Jacksonville, Florida; brother Bart (Diana) of Jacksonville, Florida; nephews, Zachary, Benjamin, Parker, Joshua, and Christopher; niece, Alexis. He was preceded in death by his father, George Huber and his mother, Ella Mae Huber.

My deepest condolences. I knew Brent from my time in Gainesville back in the late 90's and early 2000's. Brent, Joddy, and I used to play racquetball together. RIP
