Katherine "Kat" Chaplin-Floyd

Katherine “Kat” Joy Chaplin-Floyd age 58, of Bell Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her home on September 9th 2023. She was born on December 8th 1964 in Sanford, Florida to James Wells Chaplin and Sharon Lee Harper. 

Katherine absolutely loved being “Nana” to her babies. She enjoyed working on ancestry and making crafts with her cricut machine. 


She is proceeded in death by her mother Sharon Lee Harper and grandson Trent James Price JR. 


Katherine leaves behind her Father: James(Vivian) Chaplin. Husband: Scotty D Floyd. Daughters: Sharon Yates Price, Stacey(Alex) Yates-Chavarria, Stephanie(Duane) Cherry. Son: Scott James Floyd. Brother: James Lee Chaplin and 9 Grandchildren: Katherine Ann Price, Gracie Emma-Jean Price, Alejandra Joy Chavarria, Alejandro Ramiro Chavarria, Aleah Faith Cherry, Xander Lawrence Cherry, Isaac Dwayne Cherry, Havana Maria Taelyn Chavarria and Aniyah Maie Aeva Chavarria.


Katherine will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends.

  1. Katherine you will be miss. I remembered all the good times I got to spend with you and your family. You were one of the best mother's to your kids, grandchildren and to your husband. The laughter will used to have was to good. You will be in all of are hearts. The douglas family will always be here for your family if they every need anything.

  5. You were an amazing woman a hell of a fighter and the best advice giver. I hope you are free of pain and your passing was peaceful. I miss you and I only found out a Lil over a week ago about your passing. Thank-you for letting me wander in from time to time to see you and everyone. It meant the world to me to see you guys.

  6. I never thought I would be on here writing you a message, but I am missing you and googled your name and this website popped up. I know how much you loved commenting on your mom’s memorial page, I thought I would have a lot longer before I had to do the same. I wish you could have had many more years, especially with your grandkids. You only got to meet Issac twice, Aleah and Xander always say how much they miss you too. I pray you are with grandma Sharon, I know you missed her so much. I pray that One day we will all be together again. I love you so much.
