Phyllis Beckham Straub, 66, of Hawthorne, Florida entered into her final resting place on September 13, 2023 after a short, but brave battle with Cancer. While too young to go, she is no longer suffering and is finally at peace.
Phyllis was born on September 26, 1956, in Palatka, Florida to Evelyn and Aldine Beckham. She proudly served in our US Navy and was a professional Dental Hygienist for over 30 years. She dreamt of driving a Porche and having a hamburger stand and was passionate about helping those in need.
On the weekends, Phyllis could be found at the beach soaking up the sun or teaching any one of her nieces and nephews how to fish or drive a car. She loved spending time outside with friends and family, and listening to Willie Nelson.
In heaven, she is greeted with open arms by her parents and 4 siblings- Sisters: Tarza Beckham, Suzette Beckham and Lee Beckham; and Brother Ray Beckham. Phyllis is survived by her husband Phil Straub of Pensacola, FL; Daughter Leah Bell Larhrib (Mounir) and her grandson Ali of St. Petersburg, FL; three Siblings, Sisters: Diane Scott of Hawthorne, Fl; Donna Stacey of Interlachen, Fl; and Brother Scott Beckham of Orlando, Fl. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
Phyllis did not like for anyone to go out of their way for her and she requested not to have a service after her passing. The family will gather at a later date to share stories and grieve the loss of her kind soul.
