Brenda Gail Powers

Brenda Tucker-Powers went to meet her Savior on September 20, 2023 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dolphus and Hazel Tucker. Brenda graduated from Gainesville High School and was a longtime member of Countryside Baptist Church, where she accepted Christ as her Savior as a young teenager.

Brenda is survived by her sister Teresa Harvey(Clay) of Lynchburg, VA, and 2 brothers, David Tucker(Kim) of San Marcos, CA and Danny Tucker(Beverly) of Gainesville, Fl. She is also survived by her two nephews, Clayton and Matthew Harvey and 2 nieces, Amanda Reale and Jessica Wilson. Carolyn Brewer of Gainesville was a very dear and loved friend who was a constant help and support to her and her family.

Brenda was a kind, caring and compassionate lady who was always willing to help anyone in need. She also loved her dog Spooky and her cat Bella.

The family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful care she received in her final days at North Florida Regional Hospital ICU unit as well as all of her doctors, nurses and physical therapists that cared for her the last several years.
