Kenneth Herbert Sawyer

Kenneth H. Sawyer, 68, passed away at his home in Perry, Fla., on the morning of September 22, 2023.

Ken was born in Ellsworth, Maine, on Nov. 15, 1954, to Frank Sawyer and Phillis Chick. He served honorably in the United States Navy, and worked as a construction worker for 27 years until his retirement at the age of 51. He was a proud member of the LiUNA union. During the summer months, he worked off the coast of Maine as a lobsterman.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Theresa Sereyko Sawyer; son, Jeremy; and daughter, Jessica. 

Ken is survived by his daughters, Mandy Willoughby (John), of Perry, Fla.; and Jennifer Fabricius (Paul), of Tacoma, Wa.; grandchildren: Cassidy Arimoto, Nicholas Lindstrom, Malarie Sawyer, Tucker Fabricius, and Emilia Fabricius; special friend and partner, Lynn “Pixie” Cann, of Gainesville, Fla.; a host of siblings and friends; and his right-hand companion, Baxter.

Services are under the care of Crevasse’s in Gainesville, Fla. Internment will be held in Ellsworth, Maine, at a later date.
