  1. Dear Spencer Family – I was so sorry the learn of Maxine's death.  We go back a long way  – we both lived in the Monteoca area when our children were in their teens.   My son, Mark,  and I used to go down three miles of dirt road to pick Damita up for meetings.  I still see posts on Facebook from her brother, Curtis, and his wife.   If you see this, Curtis, please email me.   Max and I stayed in touch over the years, occasionally we would talk over the phone.  I am deeply sad that I hadn't gotten around to responding to her last card.   Life is so fragile and fleeting.  Max went through so many sad times – Glen's death, then her mother, and worst of all, DJ's sudden and unexpected death.  She endured, no matter what.  Love and sympathy to all of you who loved her.   I know she will be greatly missed.  Jane Wright

  2. We miss you already, our dear sister and friend. You were someone we could turn to whenever we needed a boost. You were involved with so many members of our family, showing us loving kindness and ready to comfort. You exuded laughter and light

You were a giant, Maxine, someone who we can never forget and it's just inconceivable that you are gone!

  3. I'm so blessed to have been able to be apart of my auntie life. She has shared so many things with me over the years;stories, memories, and her favorite cake recipes. We are going to miss her smile, her jokes, and her bubbly personality. Xoxo

  4. I am blessed to have known and work with Mrs. Maxine at UF health
Shands in the security department. She was always a pleasure to be around at work.

  5. My son joejoe and myself have loved Maxine(AKA Mama Maxine as joejoe called her . since 1993. She always was a fantastic friend. You will he missed lady. 😢
