John W. Clayton age 74 of Jacksonville, Florida passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, October 24,2023 at his home following a short illness. He lived in Jacksonville Florida for 72 years. He graduated from Terry Parker high school. He was in the Air Force for a few years. For 35 years he worked for US Ink. He enjoyed his computer and watching the Seminoles and an occasional dinner out. He was a follower of Jesus.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Annie Ruth Clayton, brother Dennis Clayton, and sister-in-law Susan Clayton .
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Cheri Clayton of Jacksonville, his sons, Chris Clayton of Texas, Paul Clayton of Jacksonville, daughter Amanda Clayton of Jacksonville, daughter in law Marci Clayton of Texas. Grandchildren Brooke Clayton and Erica Clayton of Jacksonville, sister Denise Fritz, and many nieces and nephews.

Cheri & Amanda So very sorry for the loss of your husband & father. Our merciful God has now taken John out of this earthly pain & suffering & welcomed him into His eternal presence in heaven. May you both, along with all your family, feel the comfort of our Lord’s mighty arms around you during the difficult days ahead. You are all in my prayers.

Just heard of his passing so sorry
Just found out about John's passing recently. I worked with John at US Ink. I will say John was a very kind person. Always full of smiles. Peace to the family.
I miss you dad. I look forward to seeing you in heaven again.
